I came across this video back in 2019. Decided to purchase a bypass piece for my i209 (only 2 wires, ground and brake wire -- no remote wire). Took literally all day to get it to work. Not because the process was hard, just would not connect. Ended up draining my battery from all the testing and troubleshooting. Low and behold, SUCCESS!!! Thank you Sir. For the last 5 years or so I have been enjoying video on my terms. From time to time, my head unit would unexpectedly turn-off then turn-on, off and on, off and on. This time the head unit turned-off but never came back on. Saw online someone recommended re-flashing the maestro. Well, I've tried everything else, why not. Think they are up to firmware v5.0. After the flash, boom, head unit is operational again. Now I can't get the d*&^ bypass to work again. Could use help tracking down the 3-wire bypass. Hopefully you are stil monitoring this feed. Thanks.

I have an Active subwoofer in my trunk of my c350 e station 2017 wagon. I did like in the video, it is only two wires from the front speaker, plus is purple and negative is purple and black. And for the remote signal I used a fuse adapter, find an empty spot for the fuse. But the rear speakers didn't give any Signal to run the subwoofer, you have use the front speaker, I used the passenger side like the video. I connected a LOC to the speaker wire and then i connected the rca cable to the LOC. I opened the front to have a look at the cd player, but it doesn't have any RCA for plugging.

Hi, on mine I broke the clip when removing it, so the cable doesn't stay in. When you hear that click noise, I would like to know if the connector broken or the socket it sits in. I find it hard to work out what I broke to make it click. Thanks!
